Meet Danielle of Something Blue Studios

All of here at Zig Zag Scrap are so thrilled to have Danielle aka Something Blue Studios as one of our guest designers this fall! She has definitely added some fun new products to her shop.

Now that you've seen some of her newest creations, let's learn a little about this incredible digi-artist.

1. What is it that you like to design the most?

Lately I've been loving the little ATC-sized quickpages I've been making, but overall I'd say I like to make things to enhance photos, like cool edges and things.

2. How long have you been designing?

Forever. As for digital scrapbook designing, SomethingBlueStudios turned 4 this past August!

3. How many hours do you spend designing a full kit?

It varies. I'm the slowest designer on the planet. I don't really clock my hours - if I did, I might cry. I'm really painfully slow. My last kit, Love Story, has been in the works since, oh, February.

4. Do you scrap? If so, can you show us your favorite layout?

I scrap sometimes. My favorite layout is always my latest, so I'll show you the one I just did with Love Story.



5. What are you passionate about other than scrapping?

Hmmm. My kids! I'm so boring. I love baking and reading and any sort of artsy craftsy thing. I have to create something every day.

6. Can you tell us a bit about your daily life?

My life is pretty boring these days! We live just outside of Boston but I'm really a New Yorker. I'm a full-time art teacher at a high school, so that takes up a lot of my time. I love it because I get to teach Photoshop there. Then, it's time with my 2 kids until they go to bed. Then I'm on the computer designing until the wee hours, unless of course So You Think You Can Dance or Survivor is on. If so, I design after that. I really need to get some sleep. Oh! Here is how I keep my sanity...every Friday night, I get together with some friends for CrAfter Midnight...we eat good food and get crazy with the craft supplies. I highly recommend it.

Bouille's hubby passed away suddenly a few weeks ago. He was not only a beloved husband, but also a cherished father for their 2 young children.

Meet Anna BV

Anna BV is one of our guest designers this fall. Here are the gorgeous kits she contributed to our fall collection:

So, before I show you more of her stuff, let's get to know her a bit! Anna...

1. What is it that you like to design the most? I used to enjoy making papers most, but recently doodly things are my favorites. 2. How long have you been designing? About one and a half years. 3. How many hours do you spend designing a full kit? I'm a very slow designer. It's not the actual designing that takes me so long, but gathering ideas, collecting material, thinking about the kit, experimenting with things. So I work about a week on a full kit. I have no idea how that translates into hours, because I don't design full time, and I almost never work on one item only. 4. Do you scrap? If so, can you show us your favorite layout? Oh, I do scrap, but not a lot. My favorite LO is this: 5. What are you passionate about other than scrapping? My family. My friends. Books. Good movies. Good music. Psychology. 6. Can you tell us a bit about your daily life? I live in a beautiful part of Austria with my husband and two kids. I stay at home with my kids, and my daily routine is pretty much organized around them. Taking my son to kindergarten, trips to the playground, cooking, trying to fight the general mess in my house which takes my kids about two minutes to recreate again - that's how I spend my days.
